There is nothing like old wooden windows or old doors that will add a feeling of nostalgia to your home or business.
There are so many creative ideas that have come about with salvaged old doors and windows other than their original use. Old doors and windows have been made into headboards, table tops, with windows used to frame pictures or paint art just to name a few. I love to see an old door being used as a pantry door in a kitchen.
There is just something warm and inviting about them that you just can’t get from a brand spanking new door. And even though a lot of the time they can no longer be used as an entry door or windows in our home for security purposes, it’s great to find other ways to keep them out of the landfills and still enjoy their appeal in our home or even business, no matter what the business may be. For me it is a reminder of the quaint small town where my grandparents lived, and where my dad and my two brothers have made their homes.
Below are pictures of old windows and doors that I know and love…
